About Glasnant Retreat Centre
Glasnant Retreat Centre is a freshly renovated, comfortable and luxurious contemporary retreat centre set within 20 acres of peaceful woodland and surrounded by thousands of acres of open countryside. The surrounding woodland is a private nature reserve filled with delightful bird song and home to pied flycatchers, a kingfisher, and a large badger set. Wherever you are within the retreat centre you are very much connected to the nature around you and you can enjoy the gardens, woodland and open countryside at your leisure throughout your stay.
Over the course of this weekend retreat you will have the opportunity to take part in meditative, reflective, and personalised yoga sessions and to explore some of the key teachings of yoga with an experienced teacher in a small group of 6-8 people. Daily yoga classes, interactive philosophy, meditation and pranayama sessions are all included. A 30-minute one-to-one yoga session is also included so that you have a personalised practice to take away with you at the end of your stay.
All food and soft drinks are included throughout your weekend stay along with a complimentary glass of wine each evening. Light, nourishing vegan and vegetarian meals will be cooked on site by local nutritionalist and chef Charlotte Bloomer. Please let us know if you have any specific dietary requirements when booking. In the evenings you can indulge in a glass of wine, a hot chocolate or a cup of tea in the courtyard around the fire pit or in the wood-fired hot tub and Nicky will be on site throughout your stay to make sure you have everything that you need.
*On Saturday afternoon, for a small additional fee, we can also arrange an holistic massage, sports massage, or Indian head massage with Elly Ingram, an experienced local massage therapist, or perhaps you would prefer a horse riding trip with the reputable Brgynwyn riding centre located just a few miles from the Retreat Centre. If you have time before or after the retreat or if you are staying with a partner and they are not taking part in the yoga activities then we would highly recommend a trip into Hay-on-Wye. In Hay-on-Wye, you will find independent books, clothes, and antique shops, high-quality restaurants and cafes, an independent cinema as well as several art galleries and music venues. Hay-on-wye is also situated within very close reach of the Black Mountains and the Brecon Beacons.

Accommodation in Glasnant House
Glasnant is a secluded retreat centre, set in 20 acres of peaceful woodland. The characterful main house is situated next to a delightful stream and accessed via a small stone bridge. Within the main house there are three bedrooms: one twin room with two double beds (shared bathroom), one queen room (shared bathroom), and one king room (ensuite). There are several communal spaces, including an open plan living and dining room with a double-sided wood-burning stove and a reading/cinema room.
Glasnant Studio
Opposite the main house and set around a communal courtyard there are two stunning delux private studio rooms with king beds and en-suite bathrooms, alongside a light modern yoga studio where all the weekend yoga activities will take place. Each of the studio rooms are accessed via their own private entrances. Both of the studio rooms have tea and coffee facilities and are situated next to the yoga studio so you can literally roll out of bed and straight onto your mat in the morning! Studio one offers a soak in a rolled top bath underneath a refreshing living plant wall. Studio two is incredibly spacious and has a walk in shower room.
